Meet Adam Perschbacher

Black Oak Renovations is Adam Perschbacher’s company. He runs it from Austin, Arkansas, in Lonoke County.

Adam is a builder at heart. He handles the design, estimating, project management, and repairs himself, so you’ll be talking with the same person from the first visit to the final walkthrough. For roofing, siding, gutters, and larger interior projects, he brings in crews he’s worked with for 5 to 10 years. Together, they bring 20+ years of team experience in carpentry, cabinet design, roofing, siding, and gutters.

Why we photograph everything

Good records protect you. That’s why we take photos of every job before, during, and after, including the parts that end up covered, and we write down what we find. The photos are yours to keep.

A young company with experienced hands

Black Oak Renovations is a young company, but the people doing the work aren’t new to it. The experience is in the hands that build your project.

Why Black Oak Renovations exists

A lot of homeowners around Greater Arkansas have the same story: a contractor who rushed, cut a corner nobody could see, and then stopped answering the phone when something went wrong. Adam started Black Oak Renovations to do it differently. We build to the manufacturer’s instructions and the code, photograph each step, and put our commitments in writing so you can check them for yourself.

Built to spec, built to last, and backed in writing

On every job we follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions and local building code, take photos before, during, and after, and give you a 2-year written workmanship warranty. It’s a lot easier to rest easy when you can see the work for yourself.

Why we named it after the black oak

The black oak is native to Arkansas. It grows slowly, puts down a deep taproot, and can stand for well over a century. Its wood ends up in floors and furniture. We’d like our work to hold up the same way: done without rushing, rooted in good craft, and still standing decades from now.

Our mission: build roofs, cabinets, kitchens, and baths that make Greater Arkansas homes stronger, more useful, and better looking, and do it well enough that our customers send their friends and family our way.

Where we’re headed: we want to finish every project on the schedule and budget we put in writing, and help train the next generation of tradespeople to build the same way.

The four pillars

N

Built to Spec & Code

We follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the local building code on every product and every job.

N

Craftsmanship You Can See

We care about straight lines, tight joints, clean cuts, and finished edges. Look closely, and that’s where you’ll notice the difference.

N

Built to Last

We pick methods and materials that stand up to Arkansas heat, humidity, hail, and storms, and still look good years later.

N

Peace of Mind, in Writing

You get a written contract before we start, photos of every step, and a walkthrough before final payment. You’ll always know where things stand, and you’ll always be able to reach us.

The Black Oak Standard

Craftsmanship you can see, and standards you can check.

Whether it’s a roof or a kitchen, every job is held to the same written commitments. Here are a few of them:

  • Written contract first. Scope, materials, price, and schedule in writing before work begins.
  • Photographed start to finish. Before, during, and after photos, shared with you.
  • Final walkthrough before final payment. We walk the job with you and finish the punch list.
  • 2-year written workmanship warranty. On every completed project.

What we do

We start with roofs, because that’s where most water problems begin. Inside the house, we hold the work to the same standard.
